Question Time: The
IET Berkshire Network introduces for the very first time, an Engineer's
Question Time event. A panel of key figures from
academia, industry and government will answer questions relating
to the latest news, matters related to science and engineering
education, careers and the impact of technology on society..
Held at the University
of Reading�s Whiteknights campus. Please register

event is organised by the Science
Circle and takes place in the Science
Circle Building in Second Life. The Science Circle
organises an event every first Tuesday of the month and every
third Saturday, both at 11.30 Second Life Time.

in the Copa
bar, Reading. Need some helpful advice writing a
CV or finding that illusive IT job? Maybe your company is thinking
of redundancy, maybe you are thinking of turning to your union
for help? Or perhaps you would just like to network with recruiters
and IT professionals who can offer their advice, interview
tips and tricks. Bring along your CV and get some really detailed
one-to-one feedback.

Second Life Night: Meet
at the
virtual BCS office. Talk about sensible stuff then
move on to a secret location to mess about a bit and have fun!
The secret location will be notified to all members of the
Second Life group BCS The Chartered Institute for IT and
will be announced at the virtual BCS meeting.

Please note that whilst there
will be other events in August, the BCS takes a month�s break
and will be back with our next newsletter in September. Watch
out for interesting talks on Self Performance Management, Robotics
and an interesting talk from Kevin Warwick!
